| King Roland II | Oh, the new stained glass window looks outstanding, Baileywick! I can't wait to show it to Queen Miranda. |
| Prince James | The Goldenwing Circus is in town. Can we go, Dad? Can we? Please, please, please? |
| King Roland II | [chuckles] Well, I don't see why not. Baileywick, would you please arrange tickets for today's show? |
| Baileywick | Right away, Your Highness. |
| Princess Sofia and Princess Amber | Yes! |
| Prince James | Yes! We're going to the circus. Sofia, wait until you see it.

| Prince James | ♪ They juggle and juggle |
| All | ♪ At the Goldenwing Circus |
| King Roland II | James! |

| As the song ends, James juggles before Roland takes the guard's hat from him. | |
| King Roland II | James, you know the rule: no playing ball inside the castle. There are too many things that could break, like the new stained-glass window. |
| Princess Sofia | It's very pretty. |
| Princess Amber | Of course it is, Sofia. There's a picture of me in it. |
| King Roland II | I'm gonna go get your mother right now to show it to her. |
| Roland then leaves while humming. | |
| Prince James | [starts juggling again] Okay, now back to the show. |
| Princess Sofia | James, what are you doing? Dad said no playing ball in the castle. |
| Prince James | I just wanna show you one more trick. |
| Princess Amber | But Dad said- |
| Prince James | Don't worry. It's as easy as one, two, three! [He does a trick shot.] Huh? [The ball hits the chandelier] Oh. [The ball hits the knight's sword and then the floor; Sofia and Amber gasp] Uh-oh. [The ball flies at the window, breaking out Amber's face; James gasps.] Oh, no! |

| Prince James | I didn't mean to break it. |
| Princess Amber | Oh, Dad is not going to like this. |
| Prince James | What do we do? |
| Princess Sofia | We have to go tell him. |
| Prince James | Wait, you can't tell Dad. If he finds out I broke a castle rule, he'll never let me go to the circus! |
| Princess Sofia | Oh... |
| Princess Amber | It doesn't matter whether we tell him. He's going to see the window when he comes back. |
| James looks at a suit of armor, knowing that it can block the window. | |
| Prince James | Uh, not if we hide it. We can move that suit of armor in front of the window. Mom and Dad will never see it. |
| Princess Sofia | I don't know... |
| Prince James | Please? I don't want to miss the juggling jesters. And the circus only comes once a year. Pretty, pretty please? |
| Princess Sofia | Maybe we should help him. He really wants to go. |
| Princess Amber | But he broke my part of the window! |
| Prince James | Come on, Amber. I'd do it for you. |
| Princess Sofia | He'd do it for you! |
| Princess Amber | All right, fine. |
| Prince James | Great, thank you. Uh, come on. Help me push. |
| Sofia and James try to move the armor to no luck. | |
| Princess Sofia | Wish this armor wasn't made of armor. [as Amber fans her and James] It's... not... moving. |
| Prince James | Amber! You're not even pushing! |
| Princess Amber | Isn't it enough I'm not telling on you? |
| Princess Sofia | Amber! |
| Princess Amber | [sighs] Okay. |
| Sofia, Amber, and James move the armor, soon, its axe becomes unstable. | |
| Prince James | Whoa! [stabilizes the axe and places it back] Got it! |
| Queen Miranda | [offscreen] Rollie, can't you just tell me what the surprise is? |
| King Roland II | [chuckles] You'll see. |
| Prince James | Mom and Dad are coming! |
| Princess Sofia | What do we do? |
| Princess Amber | Oh, I know. I'll keep them from coming in. But hurry and cover up that window. [she leaves to stall Roland and Miranda while Sofia and James continue to move the armor] |
| King Roland II | Okay, just a few more steps and... |
| Princess Amber | Hi, Mother. Hi, Daddy. I have a surprise, a new song I wrote on the harp just for you. |
| King Roland II | Oh, and I can't wait to hear it, but first I want to show your mother her surprise. |
| Princess Amber | But Daddy, please? |
| King Roland II | I... [chuckles while he and Miranda are being dragged away by Amber] Well, I suppose the surprise can wait a bit longer. |
| Princess Amber | Wonderful! Let's go to the music room. [as Sofia and James watch everything] Quickly! |
| Prince James | [sighs] That was close. Now let's finish moving the armor. |
| Princess Sofia | All right. |
| Prince James | A little further and... There. |
| Princess Sofia | [sighs] Wow! [scene cuts to the armor blocking the broken part of the window] You can't even see that it's broken. |
| Prince James | See? I told you. Problem solved. Thanks, buddy. [leans at the armor's axe] Whoa! It's gonna fall! [the axe hits the window, causing a huge crack] Uh-oh. That wasn't part of the plan. |
| Cut to Amber playing her harp to Miranda and Roland, the latter sleeping. | |
| Queen Miranda | [whispering] Psst! Wake up! Rollie! |
| King Roland II | [clears throat] Uh... [chuckles] |
| Amber finishes the song. | |
| Princess Amber | That was called Song for my Beloved Parents, Number One. |
| King Roland II | Well done, Amber! |
| Queen Miranda | That was lovely. |
| Princess Amber | Oh, thank you. Thank you. |
| King Roland II | Brava. Brava, Amber. |
| Princess Amber | Oh, thank you so much! And now, Song for my Beloved Parents, Number Two! |
| King Roland II | Actually, Amber, I think it's time we go to the throne room. |
| Queen Miranda | Oh, yes, I've been told there's a surprise for me there. |
| King Roland II | And I want to show it to your mother before we all leave for the circus. So, Amber, if you'll excuse us... |
| Princess Amber | Oh, not yet. Uh, first, [as he cuts in front of Roland and Miranda] I have to show you... my new tiara. Pretty please? |
| King Roland II | [sighs] How can I say no? |
| Queen Miranda | Well, it's very simple, really. I say it to the children all the time. |
| Princess Amber | Oh, if you don't have time for me, I understand. [sobs] I know you're very busy. [sobs] |
| Queen Miranda | Oh, Amber. I'll always make time for you. |
| Princess Amber | So, it's settled, you'll see my tiara. [as he drags Roland and Miranda to her room] It's in my room. Come on. We can take the long way! |
| Cut back to Sofia and James seeing the cracked window. | |
| Prince James | It's all cracked. Now what do we do? |
| Princess Sofia | Now we tell Dad. |
| Prince James | And miss the circus? There must be something else we can try. Oh! We can cover the window with a curtain. |
| Princess Sofia | But Dad will open it when he shows Mom the window. |
| Prince James | Hmm. [gasps] Maybe we can get the royal glass maker to make a new one. |
| Princess Sofia | I think that takes a long time. [gasps] Maybe Mr. Ceedric can fix the window with magic! |
| Prince James | Great idea. Let's go ask him. |
| Meanwhile, Cedric is lounging in his workshop. | |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Ah... [sniffs] Smells like evil. |
| The door flings open, and Sofia and James rush in. | |
| Princess Sofia | Mr. Ceedric, we need your help! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Oh, do you? |
| Prince James | I broke the new stained-glass window in the throne room. |
| Princess Sofia | Can you use your magic to help put it back together? |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | [flatly] Oh, yes, I could, if I didn't have a thousand more important things to do. |
| Prince James | You have a thousand things to do? |
| Cedric pauses and stares at Sofia, her amulet briefly flashing as it sounds off a warning chime. | |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | But... I suppose I could make a little time for you. |
| Prince James | Really? Oh, that's great! |
| Princess Sofia | Thank you so much, Mr. Ceedric! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Oh, it's no trouble at all. Oh, it's no trouble at all. Now, I have a potion to brew, so run along and I'll meet you in the throne room! [they leave; Cedric and Wormwood laugh. Cedric then finishes brewing the potion.] Little do they know that this potion will not fix their broken window. But it is going to get me Sofia's precious amulet! [he laughs hysterically; Wormwood cackles.] I just dip my wand into the potion like so and voilà! Now, Wormy, watch what happens when I point my wand at something! Petuzi! [a bottle gets pulled into his hands] It gets pulled right into my hands! Petuzi! Petuzi! Petuzi! Petuzi! [the spell heads back to Cedric] Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! [he gets pulled toward the bookcase himself.] Oh, I guess the spell only works on little objects. Lucky for me, Sofia's amulet is nice and small. And once I have the Amulet of Avalor, I can use its magic to take over the kingdom! Finally! [he laughs hysterically; Wormwood cackles] Right, enough evil cackling. Let's get that amulet. |
| Cut to Sofia and James. | |
| Prince James | Where's Cedric? |
| Princess Sofia | I'm sure he'll be here soon. |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | [arrives] Hello, children. Your faithful sorcerer has arrived! |
| Princess Sofia | Oh, good! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | [looks at the window] Oh, that is one broken window, all right. |
| Prince James | So, can you fix it? |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Of course, I have a spell right here. |
| Princess Sofia | We knew you could help! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Right. Now, I'll need you two to stand in front of the window. |
| Princess Sofia | [confused] Why? |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | You'll see, you'll see. [they stand in front of the window with confused expressions; Cedric chuckles] Now just stand perfectly still. Don't move an amulet -- [chuckles] I mean, a muscle. |
| Prince James | I really hope this works. |
| Princess Sofia | Me too. |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Petuzi! |
| The spell is cast; but Sofia sees the spell is coming right at her and she and James quickly duck out of the way to avoid getting hit, and it hits the window. | |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Whoa!... [Cedric gets pulled right toward the window; Sofia and James catch his spellbook and wand, respectively.] Oh no! |
| Not only does the spell fix the window, Cedric gets trapped inside it. | |
| Princess Sofia | Oh, Mr. Ceedric! |
| Prince James | At least the crack's not there anymore. |
| Princess Sofia | But Mr. Ceedric is! This is just getting worse and worse! |
| Cut back to Amber's room. | |
| Princess Amber | Ruby tiara... No. Opal tiara... No. Here it is! My new tiara. |
| King Roland II | Um, Amber, we've seen that one already. |
| Queen Miranda | We gave it to you for your birthday. |
| Princess Amber | Oh. Uh, well, have you seen this one? This one has pink diamonds in it. [gasps] Ooh. |
| King Roland II | Amber, dear, we're happy to see all your tiaras. But right now, it's time for your mother's surprise. [he and Miranda leave.] |
| Princess Amber | But you didn't even see the diamonds! Sparkly, sparkly diamonds. Oh, this extra special tiara is one of a kind! Oh! Daddy, wait! [Roland waves goodbye to Amber, who places the tiara back and puts her tiara back on.] This is impossible! |
| Cut back to the window room. | |
| Princess Sofia | James, Mr. Ceedric is stuck in the window! We really have to tell Dad! |
| Prince James | Or... [picks up the wand] I could use magic to fix everything. |
| Princess Sofia | But you're not a sorcerer. |
| Prince James | How hard can it be? I'll just find a spell in Cedric's book, wave this wand around and... |
| Princess Sofia | I really don't think we should do this. |
| Prince James | There! This spell looks like it'll work. |
| Princess Sofia | [covers her eyes in fear] I can't look! |
| Cut back to Amber, Roland, and Miranda. | |
| Princess Amber | Mom! Dad! Look at the new ballet steps I just learned. And plié, and jeté, and plié, jeté! |
| King Roland II | Sorry, darling. After we go to the throne room. |
| Princess Amber | But, Daddy! I've been working on my yodeling. Don't you want to hear it? [yodels] |
| Cut back to the window room. | |
| Prince James | Zabra zend, zabra zoo. Free our friend and fix the window too! |
| He fires the wand; Cedric begins to emerge. | |
| Princess Sofia | I think it's working! |
| Cedric's arms and hands pop out. | |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Whoa! Poseidon's pumpkins! |
| Cedric is fully released from the window and flops to the ground; the window is also completely repaired. | |
| Princess Sofia | James, you did it! |
| Prince James | Yup. [hears cracking] What's happening? |
| The whole window cracks over as a result of the instability from the spell. | |
| Princess Sofia | Oh no! |
| The window shatters completely to pieces. | |
| Prince James | Uh-oh. |
| There's no time left; Roland and Miranda have arrived with Amber. | |
| King Roland II | [gasps] The window! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | [fleeting right past them] Oh, it wasn't me, Your Majesty. It was the children! [leaves] |
| Queen Miranda | What is? What's going on? |
| Roland sees the destroyed window. | |
| King Roland II | There was a stained-glass window here of the entire family. That was your surprise. I had it made just for you. |
| Queen Miranda | Oh, Rollie, that's so sweet. |
| Prince James | I guess I have to tell them I broke the window. |
| Princess Sofia | But then you won't get to go to the circus! |
| Prince James | I know. |
| King Roland II | Children, you know the window was a surprise for your mother and it was very important to me. Now it's broken. What happened here? |
| Prince James | Mom, Dad, what happened was -- |
| Princess Sofia | I broke it! It was my fault! |
| Princess Amber | But James was -- |
| Princess Sofia | I was playing ball in the house! |
| Queen Miranda | You did this, Sofia? |
| Princess Sofia | I'm sorry. |
| Queen Miranda | So are we. This... This seems so unlike you. |
| Princess Amber | [to James] And it seems a lot like you. |
| King Roland II | We're very disappointed. |
| Queen Miranda | And, since you broke a castle rule... |
| King Roland II | I'm afraid you'll have to stay home from the circus. |
| Princess Sofia | I understand. |
| Baileywick | All right, everyone. Time to leave for the circus. [sees the broken window and gasps] The window! |
| King Roland II | Sofia played ball in the castle. |
| Baileywick | Sofia? |
| King Roland II | Could you escort her to her room, please? |
| Baileywick | Of course, Your Majesty. |
| Princess Sofia | Have fun, everyone. |
| King Roland II | Now, shall we? |
| Prince James | Uh, I'll meet you outside. Sofia, wait! I just need to talk to her for a second. Why did you tell Mom and Dad you broke the window when it was really me? |
| Princess Sofia | Because I didn't want you to get in trouble. |
| Prince James | But now you're in trouble. |
| Princess Sofia | James, I know how much you love the circus. I wanted to make sure you got to go. |
| Prince James | Wow. Thanks. |
| Baileywick | You better get going, James, or you'll be late. |
| Princess Sofia | Go on. You can tell me all about it when you get back. |
| Prince James | Okay. Bye. |
| Scene shifts to James, still feeling guilty, in the coach when Amber joins in. | |
| King Roland II | Coachman, to the circus. |
| The coach then heads to the circus when James sadly looks at Sofia, who is having tea in her room with Baileywick. | |
| Baileywick | [sighs] Sofia, I haven't known you as much as I've known James, but I known both of you well enough to know that you wouldn't play ball in the castle if the King told you not to. James, on the other hand, if you did take the blame for him, that was very kind of you. But, a lie is a lie, even if you're trying to help someone. |
| Princess Sofia | I didn't think about it that way. |
| Baileywick | Maybe next time you will. Peppermint tea? |
| Princess Sofia | I'd love some. Thanks, Baileywick. |
| Baileywick | Any time. |
| Cut to the Goldenwing Circus. | |
| Man | Hey! |
| King Roland II | Having fun, James? |
| Prince James | [sighs] I guess so. |
| Ringleader | And now, for our next act... The amazing juggling jesters! |
| Queen Miranda | Sofia would've loved this. |
| King Roland II | It's too bad she broke the window. |
| Queen Miranda | I hear the jesters are your favorite, James. |
| Prince James | Yeah. |
| Queen Miranda | Is something wrong? |
| Prince James | Um, it's just... I have something to tell you. Sofia didn't break the window, and she wasn't the one playing ball inside. It was me. |
| King Roland II | What? |
| Prince James | She took the blame so I could go to the circus. |
| Roland and Miranda are shocked to hear that, and look at Amber, who sighs wearily. | |
| Queen Miranda | Amber, were you playing the harp and showing us tiaras to keep us from seeing the window? |
| Princess Amber | Maybe. [sighs] Yes, it's true. |
| King Roland II | I think it's time we all went home. |
| They leave; the ringmaster notices. | |
| Ringmaster | Huh. The King left? |
| Later, the siblings are talked down. | |
| King Roland II | We're very disappointed in you. James, you broke a castle rule. |
| Queen Miranda | And then the three of you tried to hide it from us. |
| Prince James | I'm sorry. |
| Princess Sofia | Me too. |
| Princess Amber | Very sorry. |
| Queen Miranda | When one of you makes a mistake... |
| King Roland II | You need to tell us. |
| Queen Miranda | ...otherwise, the problem can get worse. |
| Prince James | A lot worse. |
| Queen Miranda | Families need to be honest and not keep secrets from each other. |
| King Roland II | So next time something like this happens, just tell the truth right from the start. |
| Prince James | I promise to do that from now on. |
| Princess Sofia | So will I. |
| Princess Amber | On the rare occasion that I do something wrong, I'll be sure to tell you. |
| King Roland II | Good. |
| Queen Miranda | So, what are we gonna do with the rest of the afternoon? |
| Princess Amber | I could play Song for my Beloved Parents, Number Three. |
| King Roland II | Uh... |
| Baileywick | [offscreen] Your Majesties, [cut to him] someone is at the door who would like to have a word with you. |
| King Roland II | Oh? Who is it? |
| Baileywick | You should come see for yourself. |
| King Roland II | Okay. |
| Queen Miranda | We'll be right back. |
| Scene cuts to Sofia, Amber, and James before Roland, Miranda, and Baileywick, who meet up with the Ringmaster, who takes off his hat. | |
| Ringmaster | My King, my Queen. |
| King Roland II | Ah, greetings. What brings you to the castle? |
| Ringmaster | We saw you leave the circus early. Were you unhappy with our show? |
| King Roland II | [chuckles] No. No, not at all. |
| Queen Miranda | We had a family matter to attend to. |
| King Roland II | Believe me, if our children had a choice, they'd watch the circus all day, every day. |
| Ringmaster | In that case, my friends and I would be happy to give you a special performance right now! |
| King Roland II | Okay. Hmm, uh, what do you think, Miranda? |
| Queen Miranda | Well, the children seem to have learned their lesson. |
| King Roland II | Hmm... true... Sounds marvelous! |
| Ringmaster | Thank you! |
| Cut to Sofia, Amber, and James with their eyes closed, as Roland, Miranda, and Baileywick are showing them a surprise. | |
| Princess Sofia | What's the surprise? |
| King Roland II | You'll see. Open your eyes. |
| Prince James | The Goldenwing Circus? |
| Princess Sofia | They're here? |
| Prince James | Is that a monkey? |
| Princess Amber | Is that a tutu? |
| Prince James | Looks like a tutu to me! |
| The Ringmaster makes a ball appear, makes it into two, and disappears in a puff of smoke, which forms a dragon. | |
| King Roland II | A dragon? |
| Princess Amber | A dragon! |
| Prince James | Dragon! |
| Prince James | Wow! |
| King Roland II | Beautiful! Amazing. |
| Prince James | Awesome. |
| Princess Amber | Oh! |

| The unicorn then makes three juggles appear. | |

| The ringmaster juggles balls with his feet while on an elephant. | |

| King Roland II | What a showman! |
| Prince James | Yeah. I wonder if I could do that. |
| Princess Sofia | Just don't try it inside, all right? |

| During the song, the ringmaster juggles two balls, magically restoring the stained-glass window, to the amazement of everyone as the episode ends. |
