| Princess Amber | Now that is one scary-looking witch. |
| Princess Sofia | Inventor Gwen helped me make it. |
| Princess Amber | I don't know why we've never thrown a Halloween party before. Fabulous idea, Sofia. |
| Princess Sofia | I loved going to haunted house parties back in the village. Well, they were more like haunted cottages. But this will be a haunted castle party. Come in. Hmm. No one's there. |
| Prince James | Sofia, I finished the haunted tea party. Check it out. What do you think? |
| Princess Sofia | Nice and creepy. |
| Princess Amber | Ugh! Just come in already. There's no one here. |
| Princess Sofia | That's weird. |
| Princess Amber | Look! Weren't those skeletons just sitting? |
| Prince James | They were. |
| Princess Sofia | Maybe someone moved them when we weren't looking. |
| Princess Amber | Who? |
| Princess Sofia | I don't know. |
| Queen Miranda | I can't wait for the party tonight, Sofia. |
| Princess Sofia | This isn't everything. I have lots of spooky surprises planned. |
| Princess Amber | Who did that? |
| Queen Miranda | It's okay, Amber. It was probably just a breeze. |
| King Roland II | This castle is a bit drafty. |
| Princess Amber | You don't understand. Lots of strange things have been happening. First, there were knocks at the door, but no one was there. Then those skeletons stood up... on their own. |
| King Roland II | I know we're all excited for the Halloween party. But let's not let our imaginations get the better of us. |
| Queen Miranda | Oh, I get it, Sofia. This is one of your spooky surprises, isn't it? |
| Princess Sofia | Uh, no. |
| Prince James | Maybe there's a ghost in the castle. |
| Princess Amber | Ghost? Daddy, we have to move to another castle immediately! |
| King Roland II | Now, Amber, we all know there's no such thing as ghosts. |
| Queen Miranda | Your father's right. I'm sure there's a perfectly reasonable explanation for all this. |
| Princess Amber | There better be. |
| Princess Sofia | Well, I have to get more decorations. There's so much left to do for tonight. |
| Sir Dax | Ooh... Ooh, spooky. Hee hee hee hee! |
| Princess Sofia | What is that? |
| Sir Dax | Oooh... Oh! Oh, butterfingers! Stop laughing at once. |
| Princess Sofia | Huh? |
| Sir Dax | You're not supposed to laugh at ghosts. You're supposed to be terrified. |
| Princess Sofia | You're a ghost? |
| Sir Dax | Indeed I am. Are you scared? |
| Princess Sofia | Uh... Not really. |
| Sir Dax | I'm going to have to try harder next time. You see, I'm not the type of ghost that enjoys going about haunting people. I'm more of a curl-up-in-the-attic-with-a-good-book type of ghost. |
| Princess Sofia | Wait a second. Were you the one knocking on the door and blowing out the lights? |
| Sir Dax | Yes, that was I. Sir Reginald Daxter Sutcliffe IV. |
| Princess Sofia | Sir Reginald Daxter... What? |
| Sir Dax | Just call me Dax. |
| Princess Sofia | Why were you trying to scare us, Sir Dax? |
| Sir Dax | Oh, I'm afraid I must frighten everyone out of the castle by nightfall. |
| Princess Sofia | By nightfall? But you can't do that. My haunted castle party is tonight. |
| Sir Dax | Not anymore, darling, because I'm hosting a Ghostly Gala tonight. |
| Princess Sofia | A what? |
| Sir Dax | A party for all the ghosts in the kingdom. |
| Princess Sofia | But I have to throw my party. My whole family is looking forward to it. |
| Sir Dax | And my ghostly guests are looking forward to my party. And none of them will show up if there are people in the castle. People always make such a fuss when they see ghosts. So, I need to scare everyone out by sundown or I can't have my gala. Ah, which does not give me much time. So I better get back to it. Toodle-oo! |
| Princess Sofia | Please, Sir Dax. I don't want to let my family down. |
| Sir Dax | Only one of us can have our party, my dear girl, and that will be me. So if you'll excuse me, I have to go scare the pants off your family. Well, not actually their pants, that would be impolite. But scare them I will. |
| Clover | Ah. Nap time. The coziest, most relaxing time of... Ow! What's going on? Who's there? |
| Boo | Boo! That's who. That's my name, Boo. I know it's kind of an obvious name for a ghost, but, hey, what are you gonna do? |
| Clover | You're a ghost? |
| Boo | Uh-uh-uh. Ghost bat, huh? See, see the wings? |
| Clover | I didn't know the castle had ghosts. |
| Boo | Oh, yeah. Boo! |
| Clover | Boo, would you quit it? |
| Boo | Are you kiddin'? This is the one day Dax finally lets me go out and do some actual haunting. Come on, no way I'm gonna stop now. Scare you later! |
| Princess Sofia | Clover. |
| Clover | Ahhh! |
| Princess Sofia | Clover. |
| Clover | Sofia? |
| Princess Sofia and Clover | I just saw a ghost! |
| Princess Sofia | You saw Sir Dax, too? |
| Clover | Who? No, it was a ghost bat. |
| Princess Sofia | There are two ghosts in the castle? |
| Clover | I guess so. What do they want with us, Sofia? |
| Princess Sofia | They're trying to scare us all out of the castle. But my haunted castle party is tonight and everyone is looking forward to it. What do I do? |
| Clover | I-I-I don't know, Sofia. |
| Princess Sofia | Maybe I'll tell my parents about them. |
| Clover | Whoa, you do that and they'll cancel the party for sure. I know I wouldn't want to have company over with a bunch of ghosts floating around, scaring everybody, booing the hors d'oeuvres. |
| Princess Sofia | Hmm. Wait. Sir Dax told me if he doesn't frighten all the people out of the castle by sundown, he can't have his Ghostly Gala. So all I have to do is keep him from scaring everyone until the sun goes down and I get to have my party. |
| Clover | Great plan, kid. |
| Princess Sofia | I just have to make whatever he's doing seem not so scary. |
| Clover | All right, tell you what. I'll check the kitchen for ghosts... and snacks. You take the rest of the castle. Deal? |
| Princess Sofia | Deal. Baileywick, have you seen any, uh, strange things happening? |
| Baileywick | Not at all, Princess Sofia. |
| Princess Sofia | Great. Huh? |
| Queen Miranda | My goodness! The xylophone, it just started playing by itself. |
| Princess Sofia | Oh, it must be Dax. Uh, don't worry, Mom. This is just one of the spooky surprises I planned for the party. I asked Mr. Cedric to enchant the xylophone to make it look haunted. |
| Queen Miranda | Oh, it's a party trick? |
| Princess Sofia | Uh-huh. Do you like it? |
| Queen Miranda | It's very charming. Okay, well, I'm going to go check on the spook-ghetti and meatballs. See you in a bit. |
| Sir Dax | Oh. What a bother! I'll have you know you spoiled a perfectly good scare. |
| Princess Sofia | I'm not letting you scare everyone away. |
| Sir Dax | We'll see about that. |
| Chef | Eh? |
| Boo | Boo! |
| Clover | Yo, Boo. Is that you up there? |
| Boo | The one and only. Hey, I'd love to stay and chat, but I got places to haunt, people to spook. |
| Clover | Nah, you don't want to do that. Why don't you take a break and have a snack with me? |
| Boo | Well, I could use a nibble, but... |
| Clover | Come on. I can tell you're a gourmet ghost. |
| Boo | All right, you convinced me. |
| Chef | The kitchen's haunted. I'll show you. |
| Clover | They're coming back. We better take our feast to-go. |
| Boo | All right. I know a place we can eat in peace. Follow me. |
| Clover | Check, one ghost out of the way. |
| Chef 2 | Huh. I don't see a floating sandwich. In fact, I don't see any sandwiches! So you better get back to work. |
| Princess Sofia | Everything okay? Nothing, you know, unusual to report? |
| Servant | No, nothing out of the ordinary, Princess Sofia. |
| King Roland II | Ah! |
| Sir Dax | Ooh! |
| King Roland II | Stay back, Sofia. |
| Princess Sofia | Uh, it's okay, Dad. It's just a magic tie rack. It's one of my haunted castle surprises. Kind of spooky, isn't it? There you go. |
| King Roland II | It's very entertaining, but perhaps you should keep the party tricks in the ballroom. |
| Princess Sofia | Okay, Dad. |
| King Roland II | What was that? |
| Princess Sofia | You were right, the castle really is drafty. I better go check on my other party tricks. Well, see you later. |
| Sir Dax | Princess Sofia! I'm trying as hard as I can to be frightening. I must insist you stop getting in my way. |
| Prince James | Whoa! Sofia, was that a ghost? |
| Princess Sofia | No! It was just another party trick. |
| Prince James | I saw you talking to it. Come on, Sof. You can tell me the truth. |
| Princess Sofia | Okay, there's a ghost in the castle. Two, actually. |
| Prince James | Brilliant. I always hoped the castle would be haunted. Oh, Amber better not see the ghosts. You saw how afraid she was before. She said she'd make us move out of the castle. |
| Princess Sofia | Oh, you're right. I can't let them scare Amber. |
| Prince James | Hey! Where are you going? |
| Princess Sofia | To make sure those ghosts don't ruin our haunted castle party. |
| Prince James | Wait up. I'll help you. |
| Sir Dax | Hmm. So all I have to do is scare Princess Amber. Surely, I can manage that. Because I'm scary enough, I'm frightening enough, and, by George, people are terrified of me. Perhaps, I'll fetch Boo to help me out. Tally ho! |
| Clover | So this is where you guys hang out? Hmm, nice. |
| Boo | Well, actually... Hello, I usually hang up here. But, yeah, this is our room. Come on, let's dig in. |
| Clover | So, uh, what's with all the portraits? |
| Boo | Oh, those are all of Dax's friends and family. Poor guy. He hasn't seen them in a really long time. |
| Clover | Why not? |
| Boo | Because they can only leave their castles and see each other at the Ghostly Gala. And get this. It only happens once every 100 years on Halloween. |
| Clover | Huh? |
| Sir Dax | 'Tis true. Now you see why I must throw my Ghostly Gala tonight. It's the only chance I'll get to see my dearly departed family and friends.

| Boo | You got it. Okay, guys, party's over. Move it out, come on. Come on, Tell your friends. Don't let the window hit you on the way out. Come on, move it out. Ow! Hey, come on, guys. Aw, this is not good. They're not leaving! Huh! Sorry, Dax. They're not going anywhere. |
| Sir Dax | What do you mean? |
| Boo | Bats are easy to let in, not so easy to get out. |
