| Cedric the Sorcerer | Oh, it's a very special helper. It means you get to come here every day and assist me with my spells and potions, and tidy up the place and so forth. And in return, I'll teach you all the magic you need to know for your little test. So, Princess Sofia, will you be my apprentice? |

| Cedric the Sorcerer | Cedric. Wormwood! This is what we've been waiting for! I am going to brew up a potion that will make me invisible. Then, while Sofia is busy tidying up the workshop, I'll pour the invisibility potion on myself and disappear. I'll be able to swipe her Amulet without her even knowing it. Once the Amulet of Avalor is mine, I can use its power to take over the kingdom. I'll be the first sorcerer to be king. "King Cedric the First." Oh, Mother, Father, if you could only see me now. |

| King Roland II | Yes, but Cedric's not nearly as talented... |
| Princess Sofia | Yes, he is. We should have him put on a show for everyone. |

| Princess Sofia | It looks like there are two extra ingredients you're supposed to put in your invisibility potion. See? |

| Cedric the Sorcerer | Right. So, that's why the potion wasn't working. Now, all I need to do is add a sprinkle of moat moss and three warthog whiskers. So far, so good. Could it be? It could. Indeed. Yes. I did it. I did it, Wormy! I've made my invisibility potion. Finally! I can swipe her Amulet and take over the kingdom! ...What's this? [Sees rubies arranged in a heart] She... | They return to the painting and Cedric is pensive. Cut to Royal Prep; it's the day of the sorcery test. Fauna is handing out trays containing each a rock, a lime, and an old shoe. | |

| King Roland II | This is going to be a disaster. |
| Queen Miranda | It'll be fine. |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | But first things first. |
| King Magnus | You know, my sorcerer made an entire zoo appear once. |
| King Roland II | I'm sure he did. |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | I bet you've never seen a rabbit fly until now. Flotilla rabitza! |
| Instead of flying, Clover bounces instead. | |
| Princess Sofia | Oh, no! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Flotilla rabitza? |
| King Magnus | That doesn't look like a flying rabbit to me, King Roland. |
| King Roland II | Same old Cedric. Can he do anything right? |
| Princess Sofia | Mr. Cedric is too nervous. If only he was doing a trick he knew very well. Like a trick he learned in sorcery school. [holds the lizard potion] I hope this works... [spills it on her] Whoops. [turns into a lizard] |
| Prince James | Sofia spilled a potion on herself! |
| Queen Miranda | Sofia! |
| King Roland II | Someone, do something! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Sofia? Lizardo chango! [turns her back to normal] |
| Princess Sofia | You did it! |
| King Roland II | That was magnificent! You saved Sofia's life! Thank you, Cedric! |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | [surprised] I saved her life? |
| King Roland II | Ah. Did you see that? Hmm? That's our royal sorcerer, the greatest in the land. |
| King Magnus | That he is. |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | What happened? |
| Princess Sofia | I'm just clumsy, I guess. But it turned out to be a great trick. |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | You did it on purpose! |
| Princess Sofia | It's the one trick I knew you could do no matter how nervous you were. And it worked. Everyone finally saw how great you are. |
| King Magnus | So, Cedric, let's see that last trick you were talking about. |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Yes. Yes, Your Majesty. My last trick. [takes the invisibility potion] An invisibility potion. [he stares at Sofia's amulet] It's a trick I've been planning for many, many years. [to himself] Time to make myself invisible and take over the kingdom! |
| He glances toward the amulet...then at Sofia's smiling face. | |
| Goodwyn the Great | [voiceover] Do the right thing, Cedric! |
| Winifred the Wise | [voiceover] No, no, do the wrong thing! |
| Cedric smiles back, then returns his attention to the crowd. | |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | Behold my invisibility potion, which I will demonstrate on...! ....My trusty rabbit. |
| Clover | [as Sofia brings him onstage] Uh, what? No one said anything about pouring any potions on me! |
| Cedric pours the potion on Clover. | |
| Clover | [As he turns invisible] Hey... |
| King Magnus | My sorcerer has never made a potion like that before. Cedric is a great sorcerer. |
| Applause from the crowd, and Cedric sees a smiling Sofia again. Cut to Cedric's workshop after the show. | |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | What a performance! Did you see the looks on their faces? |
| Princess Sofia | Here. This is for you. [hands Cedric her test sheet] |
| Cedric the Sorcerer | What is it? |
| Princess Sofia | I got a gold star today, and I thought you should get one, too. Thanks for all your help. It was fun being your apprentice. Good night, Mr. Ceedric. |
