As the song ends, James juggles before Roland takes the guard's hat from him.
King Roland II James, you know the rule: no playing ball inside the castle. There are too many things that could break, like the new stained-glass window.
Princess Sofia It's very pretty.
Princess Amber Of course it is, Sofia. There's a picture of me in it.
King Roland II I'm gonna go get your mother right now to show it to her.
Roland then leaves while humming.
Prince James [starts juggling again] Okay, now back to the show.
Princess Sofia James, what are you doing? Dad said no playing ball in the castle.
Prince James I just wanna show you one more trick.
Princess Amber But Dad said-
Prince James Don't worry. It's as easy as one, two, three! [He does a trick shot.] Huh? [The ball hits the chandelier] Oh. [The ball hits the knight's sword and then the floor; Sofia and Amber gasp] Uh-oh. [The ball flies at the window, breaking out Amber's face; James gasps.] Oh, no!

Prince James I broke the new stained-glass window in the throne room.
Princess Sofia Can you use your magic to help put it back together?
Cedric the Sorcerer [flatly] Oh, yes, I could, if I didn't have a thousand more important things to do.
Prince James You have a thousand things to do?
Cedric pauses and stares at Sofia, her amulet briefly flashing as it sounds off a warning chime.
Cedric the Sorcerer But... I suppose I could make a little time for you.

Cedric then finishes brewing the potion.] Little do they know that this potion will not fix their broken window. But it is going to get me Sofia's precious amulet! And once I have the Amulet of Avalor, I can use its magic to take over the kingdom! Finally! [he laughs hysterically; Wormwood cackles] Right, enough evil cackling. Let's get that amulet.
Cut to Sofia and James.

Princess Sofia [confused] Why?
Cedric the Sorcerer You'll see, you'll see. [they stand in front of the window with confused expressions; Cedric chuckles] Now just stand perfectly still. Don't move an amulet -- [chuckles] I mean, a muscle.
Prince James I really hope this works.
Princess Sofia Me too.
Cedric the Sorcerer Petuzi!
The spell is cast; but Sofia sees the spell is coming right at her and she and James quickly duck out of the way to avoid getting hit, and it hits the window.
Cedric the Sorcerer Whoa!... [Cedric gets pulled right toward the window; Sofia and James catch his spellbook and wand, respectively.] Oh no!
Not only does the spell fix the window, Cedric gets trapped inside it.
Princess Sofia Oh, Mr. Ceedric!
Prince James At least the crack's not there anymore.
Princess Sofia But Mr. Ceedric is! This is just getting worse and worse!
Cut back to Amber's room.
Princess Amber Ruby tiara... No. Opal tiara... No. Here it is! My new tiara.
King Roland II Um, Amber, we've seen that one already.
Queen Miranda We gave it to you for your birthday.
Princess Amber Oh. Uh, well, have you seen this one? This one has pink diamonds in it. [gasps] Ooh.
King Roland II Amber, dear, we're happy to see all your tiaras. But right now, it's time for your mother's surprise. [he and Miranda leave.]
Princess Amber But you didn't even see the diamonds! Sparkly, sparkly diamonds. Oh, this extra special tiara is one of a kind! Oh! Daddy, wait! [Roland waves goodbye to Amber, who places the tiara back and puts her tiara back on.] This is impossible!
Cut back to the window room.
Princess Sofia James, Mr. Ceedric is stuck in the window! We really have to tell Dad!
Prince James Or... [picks up the wand] I could use magic to fix everything.
Princess Sofia But you're not a sorcerer.
Prince James How hard can it be? I'll just find a spell in Cedric's book, wave this wand around and...
Princess Sofia I really don't think we should do this.
Prince James There! This spell looks like it'll work.
Princess Sofia [covers her eyes in fear] I can't look!
Cut back to Amber, Roland, and Miranda.
Princess Amber Mom! Dad! Look at the new ballet steps I just learned. And plié, and jeté, and plié, jeté!
King Roland II Sorry, darling. After we go to the throne room.
Princess Amber But, Daddy! I've been working on my yodeling. Don't you want to hear it? [yodels]
Cut back to the window room.
Prince James Zabra zend, zabra zoo. Free our friend and fix the window too!
He fires the wand; Cedric begins to emerge.
Princess Sofia I think it's working!
Cedric's arms and hands pop out.
Cedric the Sorcerer Whoa! Poseidon's pumpkins!
Cedric is fully released from the window and flops to the ground; the window is also completely repaired.
Princess Sofia James, you did it!
Prince James Yup. [hears cracking] What's happening?
The whole window cracks over as a result of the instability from the spell.
Princess Sofia Oh no!
The window shatters completely to pieces.
Prince James Uh-oh.
There's no time left; Roland and Miranda have arrived with Amber.
King Roland II [gasps] The window!
Cedric the Sorcerer [fleeting right past them] Oh, it wasn't me, Your Majesty. It was the children! [leaves]
Queen Miranda What is? What's going on?
Roland sees the destroyed window.
King Roland II There was a stained-glass window here of the entire family. That was your surprise. I had it made just for you.
Queen Miranda Oh, Rollie, that's so sweet.
Prince James I guess I have to tell them what I did.
Princess Sofia But then you will not get to go to the circus!

King Roland II Now, shall we?

Prince James Wow. Thanks.
Baileywick You better get going, James, or you'll be late.

Scene shifts to James, still feeling guilty, in the coach when Amber joins in.
King Roland II Coachman, to the circus.
The coach then heads to the circus when James sadly looks at Sofia, who is having tea in her room with Baileywick.
Baileywick [sighs] Sofia, I haven't known you as much as I've known James, but I am so smart that I understand that you wouldn't play ball inside places. James, on the other hand, if you did take the blame for him, that was very kind of you. But do keep in mind even if one is trying to help someone, it is considered nothing else but a bad lie.

Queen Miranda Amber, were you playing the harp and showing us tiaras to keep us from seeing the window?
Princess Amber Maybe. [sighs] Yes, it's true.
King Roland II You know what? Prehaps we should just go home to discuss all this nonsense.
